I truly enjoy running for a cause like Autism, especially when you can see the donations going to work locally to help those in need. This kind of challenge is good for me and keeps me pushing my training further and further.

Just this past weekend for the first time I was able to extend my running abilities to the point where I could complete a 5k distance (3.1 miles) without having to take a walk break.

I've had a great coach, James Drain, owner of Elite Feet in Edmond, OK. They are an active sponsor for the TeamAutism Honolulu Marathon in December. With James' help I've overcome gait and breathing issues and have been able to become a more efficient runner, thus causing me to struggle less and concentrate more on enjoying the effort.
